Everything you need to know before attending a show at Portsmouth Pavilion

Getting here by ferry:
  • Keep the car at home and leave the driving to the captain.
  • The Elizabeth River Ferry from Norfolk drops you at High Street Landing, about a 7-minute walk to the Pavilion.
  • Check the ferry schedule before heading out: https://gohrt.com/routes/ferry

Getting here by train:
  • Take Amtrak to Norfolk Station (Harbor Park).

  • Connect via The Tide Light Rail, rideshare, or taxi to reach the Pavilion.

  • Station amenities include ADA access, restrooms, waiting area, and limited parking in Harbor Park Lot E.

Getting here by car:
  • Follow I-264 into downtown Portsmouth. Take Exit #7 immediately out of the Downtown Tunnel, then keep right onto Bart Street. You’ll find the Pavilion in the circle just a couple of blocks down on your right.

  • Free parking after 6pm in nearby city lots

  • VIP & accessible parking is available directly behind the Pavilion (enter via Wavy Street from Port Centre Parkway)

Getting here by boat or yacht:
  • Reserve a slip: Contact Ocean Yacht Marina at 757-321-7432 or oceanyachtmarina.com for availability and rates, just steps from your seats.
  • Short-term public mooring: Complimentary short-term mooring is available at High Street Landing for vessels 40 ft and under. Please complete the City’s online mooring application (it time-stamps your arrival).

Portsmouth Pavilion welcomes all guests and strives to provide a comfortable experience. Accessible seating areas, restrooms, and parking are available.

Amplification

Entry & Policies

To help keep entry smooth and everyone safe, please review the guidelines below before arriving at the Pavilion. All items are subject to search, and policies may vary by event or artist.

Allowed:

  • Tickets (mobile or printed)

  • Factory-sealed plastic water bottles (up to 24 oz; one per guest)

  • Lawn chairs with seats 20 inches or less from the ground

  • Blankets

  • Small bags or backpacks that fit under your seat and do not have frames

  • Service animals (in accordance with ADA guidelines)

  • Rain ponchos or jackets (shows are rain or shine)

Not allowed:

  • Alcoholic beverages

  • Glass bottles or metal cans

  • Illegal substances

  • Recording devices, professional cameras, or video equipment (artist-dependent)

  • Laser pointers

  • Umbrellas

  • Pets (excluding service animals)

Some items may be restricted at the request of the performing artist. Policies are subject to change, and final decisions are made at the discretion of venue management.

Ticket Info

Tickets for Portsmouth Pavilion shows are available through our official ticketing partner. Visit the Events page to see upcoming concerts and secure your tickets.

Mobile Tickets: If you selected Mobile Entry, your phone is your ticket. Printable tickets are not available.

How to Access Your Tickets:

Using either the Ticketmaster App or your phone’s mobile browser:

  1. Open the Ticketmaster App or visit ticketmaster.com
  2. Select “My Tickets” and sign in
  3. Choose your event
  4. Add your ticket(s) to your mobile wallet
  5. Present your mobile ticket at entry

Transferring Tickets:

If your group is arriving separately, transfer tickets in advance using the “Transfer Tickets” option in the Ticketmaster App or mobile browser (availability may vary by event).

Show Day Reminders:

  • Arrive early to allow for traffic and crowds
  • Increase screen brightness before scanning
  • Make sure your phone is fully charged

For assistance, visit the Box Office on event day and be prepared to show a valid ID.

Guest Services is located on the East Concourse, just inside the venue entrance. Our team is available to assist with general questions, seating concerns, accessibility needs, and more.

Lost & Found

Lost & Found items are turned in to Guest Services during events. If you’ve misplaced an item, stop by Guest Services on show day or contact the venue after the event for assistance.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is permitted in designated outdoor plaza areas only and is not allowed in the reserved seating area.

First Aid & Medical Services

Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics are on-site for all events. If you need medical assistance during the show, notify a staff member or visit Guest Services.
